The Private Courtyard - Olonzac, France
Grand
Rue is located within the ramparts in the heart of Olonzac,
capital of the Minervois, France's famous southern wine region.
Probably built in the 10th century but updated
structurally and modernised, the house is on three-stories and right in the
centre of town. Very private and quiet. Just step outside your door and on a
Tuesday you are in the middle of the weekly market.
The house has 2 entrances, one up an alleyway
from Grand Rue which closes the house off from the street and the other
through the garage at the back of the property.

The Living Room
The front door leads straight into the living
& dining area and features exposed stonework, with a large fireplace.

The Kitchen
 The kitchen leads off the dining area which is
fully equipped and includes oven, microwave and dishwasher. There is a
toilet at the base of the staircase on the ground floor.
Three double French doors lead onto a large
and totally private courtyard. Outside
dining is a must and at night the whole area can be lit up with spotlights
trained up the 30 foot high wall. Half the courtyard is tiled and the other
half gravel. The washing machine and dryer are located in a small stone room
off the courtyard.

The
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Ascending the staircase
you reach the second floor where there are two large double bedrooms,
and two bathrooms, one en-suite. |

One bathroom has a bath,
bidet, toilet and shower and the other a hydromassage shower, toilet and
double sink. Both have heated towel radiators. All bedrooms have fitted
wardrobes.
On the next floor there is another bedroom
with 2 single beds and a large landing with living area (and possible
additional sleeping area).
 
The
Garage -
large enough for 2 cars, leads off the courtyard and out onto Rue Droit.

Services
The
house was totally refurbished in Autumn 2006 and is comfortably furnished
throughout.
Having
only been opened for rentals from December 2006 , all furnishings are of
superior quality.
